Devlog 4: Now we're flying!


Quite a bit has gotten done since the last time


In terms of upgrades, there are quite a few new additions:

  • Wings have been added. They are makeshift, so they don't actually fly. Instead they allow the player to glide downward towards the ground (getting more distance)

  • Spawnable upgrades include a bounce pad (to gain extra height when landing on it instead of the ground), and gusts of wind (pushes the player forward, especially useful when combined with the wings)
  • An airdash has been added. Similar to the gusts of wind, but the control is given to the player instead. 

  • A way to increase the amount of gold you get between runs
  • A way to extend the number of days left before the game is over


    Speaking of, ending the game! There are two ways to end the game; A gameover (the number of days/runs hits zero, or get over a large wall at the end (win the game). I'm still working on the actual gameover/game end processes, but the set up for them is there. The distance to spawn the wall is even adjustable for future balancing!
